You are not having problems. You are thinking you are having problems.
Michael A. Singer
Most of us pray to God to solve our problems. But where are the problems? In the mind only.
That line above seems to be crucial to understanding things as they are. Yet, most of us with our narrow focus on "me and my life" view the world through the eyes of our stored stuff. That stored stuff or samskara layer (personal mind) gets triggered, arises, and distorts our perceptions of the world. We react in turn. More "problems" seem to arise "out there" that we store "in here" and we assume it is the world that is the problem.
It looks like the world is dirty and problematic when it is simply our mind that is. From this problematic personal mind we pray. We pray, "I want this. I don't want that. Please help me with my preferences." Hmmm! Our prayer, our relationship with God, is based on a self concept.
Why would you have a self concept. You are the Self. You are the universe staring at this cage of your mind.
