All life is suffering because I make it that way.
Michael A. Singer
I attempted to answer a question recently on a Youtube channel I attempt to answer questions on (albeit ver iperfectly). Is life meant to be difficult?
I am thinking, on reflection, that I answered it in almost the same way Singer did.
Your real growth happens when what is happening inside or outsde of you is not tolerable
You are only having trouble with the things you are personally experiencing.
We need to ask: Why it is disturbing?
Pain is your friend.
Liking and not liking are psychological states. Experiencing is a reality state.
Preference comes first, the desire to make it happen comes second.
To end suffering, end preference.
It is not a matter of renouncing a preference, it is a matter of getting to the root of that preference and understanding why you are preferring this or that...
Have to be willing to let go of those impressions (samskaras)
Surrender the part of you that would have resisted.
All is well.
