Suffering is created by misuse of the mind.
Eckhart Tolle
Do you embody the most important thing we can embody in this incarnation: awakening consciousness of the universe?
Or are you still consumed by the limitations of identity? Are you constantly hearing this question of ego: What can I identify with now?
When ego cannot find enough to identify with, it asks the above question. We, then, create thought forms from this...that distract us from the discomfort of being in the present moment.
We, then, go about looking for some "superiority" to validate ego's existence in life. Do you see this tendency in yourself?
Are you transforming a trauma, and an idea of "I have been unfairly treated by life" into an identity...into a thought form?
If you answer yes to these questions, indicating an active ego...you are not alone. May of us humans, including this one, grapple with this tendency. Many people create a victim identity when they cannot find more favorable things to identify with that will allow us to feel superior to others. Ego needs to identify with something! Identification with victim status is still a superiority complex...Ego tries to convince us we are morally superior because of what we went through. It keeps us stuck in this pattern.
I often feel stuck in this pattern.
And as Exkhart Tolle explains,
There is something not right about the human mind...
The thing is recognizing and accepting this tendency in ourselves can be the first necessary steps in healing from it.
All is well
